Coldwater Canyon Park offers seven miles of hiking trails, a tree nursery, organic gardens, a fruit orchard, educational displays and an Amphitheatre in its 44 total acres of space. It is also the home of Tree People, the environmental organization that cares for the parks without public funds.

Griffith Park is a large 4,210 acre park is laced with hiking and equestrian trails and hosts the Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles Zoo, Greek Theatre and the Museum of the American West. Griffith Park is also home to the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, the premier equine facility offering various shows, events and riding lessons.
